The World Educational Robot contests were founded in 2013 and now, every year, more than 500,000 students from 30 countries participate and learn in these fun and educational STEM events. Winning teams will be invited to the World Finals in Shanghai, China. 2017 WER Canadian International Invitation is hosted by Federation of World Educational Robot (FWER) and Canada Youth Robotics Club (CYRC) which is a not-for-profit organization devotes itself to promote robotics learning and opportunities for K-12 students in communities throughout Canada. This is the 3rd Canada International Invitation, during which we have more teams join us this year.

In the WER contest, robots designed by competing teams will impersonate miners, architects and workers of that age to carry out mining, road building, transportation, smelting, building and other tasks, or even help Watt to improve the steam engine, so as to propel human beings entry into the Industrial Age.
